BWSC builds, implements, operates and maintains customized turn-key diesel and biomass power plants as well as biogas plants. Currently, we experience a substantial increase in order-intake and are building plants in Cayman Islands, Cypern, Azorerne, Greece, Mauritius, Kenya and Malta. The Proposal Department is a part of the Sales and Marketing area and consists among others of a group of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Work Engineers.In close cooperation with the Sales Department, the Proposal Department elaborates the technical parts of the normally very complex turnkey tenders for diesel power plants, biogas plants or power plants with steam boilers and turbines based on biomass.The jobDue to growth of the work load, we need to increase the mechanical team in the Proposal Department.You will participate in sales project teams working closely together with 12-15 colleagues within a number of other fields/specialties, plus colleagues from our Sales Department and project executing departments.The work tasks will among others comprise:Selection/development of project specific concepts Basic design of processes and mechanical systems Systems layout Contact to possible suppliers Calculation of cost prices for the mechanical scope Elaboration of technical specifications of the mechanical systems Recording and incorporation of experiences gained on implemented projects Monitoring of the market development on prices for components and equipment Participation in technical clarifications and negotiations with customers.QualificationsYou probably have a background as a Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer or equivalent.In addition to this, we expect that you have one or more of the following qualifications:Experience with project design of machinery for power plants, combined heat and power plants and/or ships including experience with larger diesel engines and steam turbines. Experience with proposal work for large process plants Experienced MS-Word user and in particular Excel You master English fluently in writing and verbally.It is not a requirement, but will be considered an advantage if you can use AutoCad or an equivalent program.We expect you to have an overview of the situation and that you like to work with frequently changing projects - however, always paying attention to detail.
